Betty J. Czworka (nee Kozlowski)

August 25, 2025, unexpectedly, of Amherst, NY formerly of Sloan, NY. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Kelly) and Robert Czworka; cherished grandmother of Carly, Madison, Brandy, Crystal, Kelly, Alicia, Dennis, and numerous great-grandchildren; loving daughter of the late Louis and Agatha (nee Plucinski) Kozlowski; devoted sister of the late Florian (late Lillian) Kozlowski, late Marian (late Joseph) Przepiora, late Dorothy (late Raymond) Hoelzl, late Louis (Dorothy) Kozlowski Jr., late Dolores (late Alfred) Ostrowski, late Lorraine (late Robert) Bednarz, late Richard (Judith) Kozlowski, late Lucille (late Kenneth) Reed, and late Patricia (late Louis) Pericozzi; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nearly everyone who met Betty—loved Betty and her spirit. She had a tough life—but it never stopped her from helping others, sharing her kindness and generosity, and loving her family and friends. She was feisty…a fighter—right to the end…it was her nature. 87 years old is a good long life—but it’s never seems long enough. Betty enjoyed cooking and baking for family, friends, and strangers. It was her way of showing love. She was active in her church. She cooked for the seniors at the Sloan Senior Center, she delivered Meals on Wheels, etc. That’s who she was…and who she will always be; kind, generous, and loving. You couldn’t find a bigger Bills and Sabres fan. Betty rarely missed a game on TV…cheering and shouting at the screen. It was her passion. (Go Bills!) She enjoyed traveling and exploring—but didn’t have many opportunities to visit the places she dreamed of. Shortly before her death, she was able to attend a recent family reunion. Seeing everyone brought such joy to her heart. Even with her battle with dementia/Alzheimer’s—she recognized faces and remembered names. It was awesome to see! She’s the last of the TEN Kozlowski kids from Blick Street in Sloan, NY. She shared many stories of growing up in the neighborhood. As age and sickness robbed her of many of those memories, it couldn’t steal her joy. We can just picture Betty and her brothers and sisters, her mother and father, and a lifetime of friends waiting for her and greeting her in heaven…lots of smiles, laughs, and high-fives. May she Rest in Peace eternally. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday October 10th from 5-7PM at the DANIEL R.
