Arthur E. Woods

Age 95, of Williamsville, NY, entered into rest on July 28, 2024. He was born and raised in Cheektowaga, NY; lived in Williamsville, and attended St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church. He is the son of the late Isadore and Blanche (nee Bablewski) Waczkowski. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Natalie (nee Piechowicz) Woods; his children: Jeanine (Frank) Movalli, Arthur (Maureen) Woods, and Pamela (Michael) Tedesco; his six grandchildren: Amy Woods, Meghan Woods, Claire Movalli, Steve (Ashley) Movalli, Julia Tedesco and Bill Tedesco. Arthur also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Silas Movalli, who lit up his life. Arthur was a hardworking, family man, who dearly loved his wife and family. Out of high school, Arthur worked at Lackawanna Steel as a template maker. His work was interrupted as he was drafted into the Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he got his real estate license and worked over 50 years as an extremely, successful Real Estate Broker in the Buffalo area. Arthur worked for such agencies as MJ Peterson Realty Group and Giallanza Corp. He was awarded the “2007 Realtor Emeritus” award for being the longest serving realtor in WNY. Arthur, a NY Yankee fan, was an athlete himself, who excelled in baseball, basketball and cross country while at East High School. Although he prided himself with his athleticism, Arthur was voted “Most Popular” in his high school class. He had a keen sense of humor and loved being with people. This contributed to not only his popularity but also his success. His clever quips and sayings put smiles on anyone’s face and will never be forgotten. No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Monday August 12th at 10:30AM in St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct., Williamsville.
