Born on July 20, 1952 and entered into rest on December 25, 2020 of Lancaster, NY. Beloved husband of 35 years to Janet (nee Pauly) Ostempowski; dearest father of Christine A. Ostempowski and Kevin M. Ostempowski; brother of Frances Ostempowski and the late Donald (Ann) Ostempowski; son of the late Jerome and Stella Ostempowski; survived by his beloved pets Samson, Sabre and Socks; uncle to Lisa, David, Jeffrey and Tara; also survived by cousins. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 1st from 4-7 PM at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, 158 Laverack Ave., Lancaster. Please assemble at church. Interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Lancaster. Pursuant to NYS guidelines, face coverings and social distancing is required. Occupancy restrictions may delay entry. Robert was past commander of the Frank L. Gierlach American Legion Post 1320, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Nest 2692 and SPCA volunteer. He was a lover of all animals and lifetime Buffalo Bills season ticket holder.
