Eugene Patrick Moran Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Passed away peacefully on July 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted son of the late John “Jack” Francis and Mary Elizabeth (nee Byrnes) Moran. Gene will be sadly missed by his longtime partner Frances Labonte, his sisters Marietta Moran, Nancy Moran, Kathy (Tony) LaRocco, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his younger brother and best friend Robert (Donna) and was the proud godfather of Cheryl Jean Moran. Gene was a graduate of Kensington High School (class of ‘59). He loved and played football with his fraternity brothers and was voted “Dream Boy” in his senior year. After graduation, Gene enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country from 1960-1962. He later worked at Bethlehem Steel with his father and brother. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a dedicated season ticket holder since 1964. Together, he & his brother Bob attended all four Bills super bowl games with hopeful hearts. Gene was adored by all that met him due to his quick Irish wit, his kindness & generosity and a smile for everyone he encountered. His family meant everything to him and he will always be in our hearts. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME.
